NTS NAT — National Aptitude Test
The National Aptitude Test (NAT) is the standardised admission test run by the National Testing Service (NTS) for undergraduate admission at universities across Pakistan. If your university asks for NAT, this is the test you will sit. NAT-I, for students with 12 years of education, has 90 multiple-choice questions in 120 minutes: English 20, Analytical Reasoning 20, Quantitative Reasoning 20, and a Subject section of 30 questions matched to your stream — Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Computer Science, Arts, General Science or Commerce. NAT-II, for 14 years of education, has 100 questions. There is no fixed national pass mark; each university sets its own cutoff, usually around 50%. This page gives you solved MCQs for all four sections, so you can practise the exact skills the test measures.
1. NAT-I & NAT-II Patterns
| Section | NAT-I (12 years) | NAT-II (14 years) |
| English | 20 | — |
| Analytical Reasoning | 20 | — |
| Quantitative Reasoning | 20 | — |

NAT categories by stream: NAT-IE (Pre-Engineering), NAT-IM (Pre-Medical), NAT-ICS (Computer Science), NAT-IA (Arts), NAT-IGS (General Science), NAT-ICOM (Commerce). Take the category that matches your Intermediate group. There is no fixed national pass mark — each university sets its own cutoff, usually around 50%. Pattern checked 8 Nov 2026 — confirm on the official NTS site before your test.
2. Solved MCQs — English
NTS NAT Practice Questions — English, Analytical, Quantitative — 10 solved practice questions with answers and explanations.
Practice MCQs in the style of the NAT paper, from the official syllabus topics — these are practice questions, not real past-paper questions. The English section tests vocabulary, grammar, sentence completion and reading comprehension: 20 questions in NAT-I.
3. Solved MCQs — Analytical Reasoning
The Analytical Reasoning section tests logical thinking: statement-based questions, sequences, analogies and deductive reasoning: 20 questions in NAT-I. Practise with timed sets — speed matters as much as accuracy.
4. Solved MCQs — Quantitative Reasoning
The Quantitative Reasoning section tests basic mathematics: arithmetic, algebra, percentages, ratios, averages and data interpretation: 20 questions in NAT-I. Revise your Matric and Intermediate maths — the questions test speed and accuracy, not advanced theory.
5. Solved MCQs — Subject (by Stream)
The Subject section has 30 questions matched to your stream. Practise only your own stream:
- NAT-IE (Pre-Engineering): Mathematics and Physics.
- NAT-IM (Pre-Medical): Biology and Chemistry.
- NAT-ICS (Computer Science): Computer Science and Mathematics.
- NAT-IA (Arts): General Knowledge and subject questions for arts students.
- NAT-IGS (General Science): General Science.
- NAT-ICOM (Commerce): Accounting, Economics and Business Studies.
